On the Iberian peninsula, players start the game by drafting six destination cards, then keeping four of them — a process they repeat before the train deck runs out the first time. While you’re trying to fulfil those eight destination cards with only 35 trains, you can possibly pick up festival cards along the way. The deck is seeded with 54 festival cards, and when one is drawn, you place it next to the city on the game board. If you build a route that connects to one or two cities with festival cards, you choose one of those cities and collect all of the festival cards near it. The more you collect from a city, the more they’re worth at game’s end!

In South Korea, you start the game as in Iberia by drafting six destination cards, then keeping four of them. All of the routes are grouped by colour: blue in the northeast, yellow in the northwest, and so on. When you claim a route, you can also place one of your trains on the province mat on an empty space of the matching colour showing the number of cards you played of that colour; you can play more cards than required to claim a route should you want to place on a higher number. Additionally, each player has a set of “express train” cards (+1, +2, +3), and you can spend a card on your turn to either draw more train cards, draw more destination tickets, or claim a higher number on the province mat. At game’s end, evaluate each colour on the province mat, with the player (or players) with the highest sum of values claimed earning bonus points.

Build the most successful lines in the iconic underground networks of Paris and New York, in this stand-alone version of the classic route-building game by Sebastian Bleasdale!

In On the Underground: Paris/New York, players build the Paris Metro lines or the New York City Subway lines. Each player controls 2-4 different lines, depending on the number of players.

The deluxe edition includes the solo-player expansions, co-developed with David Turczi.

Building the Paris Metro network, you will need to strike the right balance between collecting sets of tokens, connecting secret destinations, blocking other players while not being blocked yourself and, of course, carrying the Passenger.

The fast paced New York map reflects the hectic pace of life in the big Apple. It encourages players to mirror real life by creating lines through Manhattan, but you have to build quickly to keep up with the always-moving Passenger.

On each turn, four destination cards are available, corresponding to stations on the map. You can take up to four actions; an action is either building track by placing one of your track tokens on the board or taking a branch token. A player may use two branch tokens to branch out of an existing line (whereas normally lines can be extended only at the endpoints). After each player’s turn, a passenger token is moved along players’ lines, avoiding walking as much as possible, to reach one or two destinations determined at the beginning of the turn. Destination cards corresponding to the visited stations are then replaced by new ones, then the next player takes their turn.

Players score points in two ways:

• By building track and connecting their lines to various types of stations, by collecting landmark tiles (in Paris), by connecting stations across water (in New York) or at the end of the game if they have achieved their secret objectives (in Paris).
• By having the passenger use their lines when moving.After all destination cards have been drawn and all players have taken the same number of turns, the game ends.

The London Underground is the world’s first underground passenger railway, having opened in 1863. Its 11 lines move about 5 million passengers a day to 270 stations, along 400 km (250 mi) of track.

The massive network of London Underground stations makes up one of the most complex transportation systems in the world, and On the Underground challenges you to develop it. Build the most successful lines, connect them to landmarks, and attract passenger traffic!

Gameplay Overview

Ticket to Ride: San Francisco features the familiar gameplay from the Ticket to Ride game series – collect cards, claim routes, draw tickets – but on a map of 1960s San Francisco that allows you to complete a game in no more than 15 minutes.

When you build a line that connects to a souvenir location, such as Lombard Street, the Embarcadero, or the Golden Gate Bridge, you take a souvenir token from that location, with a full set of seven souvenirs being worth 12 points.

1. Draft a tile, commuter, tourist, mailbag, or a train from the current offer.
2. Expand your network by adding the newly drafted component to it.

Tiles expand your routes. Commuters and tourists score victory points when placed. Mailbags and trains provide end-game bonuses. In more detail, the game tiles feature train tracks passing through different types of districts sought after by different types of commuters.
