What’s the Pokemon Casual League?
It’s the easiest way to enjoy some gentle competition, without having to spend lots of money on cards!
Everyone receives a ‘build and battle kit’ for Stellar Crown. This gives you 4 boosters and some other basic cards to build a deck with.
Then, at the end of every week, you get a booster pack. You can use cards from that booster to improve your deck, making it more competitive over time! You can only use the cards from that booster to improve your deck.
Although all the cards are yours, during the league you have to leave your deck with us and at the end you take everything away – this just makes sure there’s no shenanigans going on.
We give you a deck box to keep them safe too!
Starts Monday 9th September 2024, 6:30pm, and will run for 8 weeks. You don’t need to attend all 8 weeks, and you can join in part way through. Each week will finish around 9:30pm
How much is it?
£25 to start. That will get you a build & battle kit, and then an extra booster at the end of the night.
Then, every other week, it’ll cost £6, but you get a booster pack every week too.
Who is it for?
We’ve been running a Magic: The Gathering Casual League for about 8 years, and we’ve just started a new Lorcana casual league, and we find the people who enjoy it are:
- New to the game and just looking to practice in a fun, informal environment.
- People who would prefer not to spend lots of money on cards, but want to play in a gently competitive format.
- People who play competitively, but also want somewhere to play they can relax.
What are the prizes?
Every week, everyone gets a series 5 prize pack for participating (while stocks last, it’s possible we will run out, in which case we’ll give out older series 4 prize packs).
The league prize is designed to encourage fun and participation. Therefore, you get a league point for:
- Every week you play
- Every match you win
League prizes are a moderate level of store credit and are based on attendance (likely to be £20/£10/£5)
If we have younger players, there will also be a league prize for the highest placed under 13 year old.

We have a backlog of promos to give out! These will be given out each week until supplies are exhausted.
